Pixel Sky Animations operates on lands that have been cared for since time immemorial by the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We recognize that our creative work takes place on their unceded territories, and we hold gratitude for the stories, languages, and stewardship that continue to shape this place. As storytellers and visual creators, we commit to learning from the deep traditions of these lands and to supporting Indigenous voices and perspectives in the work we do.

From celebrations to sporting events, summits and conferences, our shows are designed in collaboration with hosts to reflect the spirit of the occasion. For Indigenous gatherings such as powwows, we engage respectfully with community leaders to ensure cultural protocols are honored and the experience is co-created.

Pixel Sky collaborates with communities across the country—including those in rural and remote locations—bringing drone light shows by air, land, and sea. Our equipment is lightweight and adaptable, traveling easily on charter flights, boats, or trucks. Once on site, we operate self-sufficiently and with care, ensuring that when the show concludes, we leave the land as we found it—respecting local protocols and environmental stewardship.

Collaborating with First Nations and Métis communities across the country
I’m Jeff Clarmo, and I have the honour of facilitating Indigenous drone show projects with Pixel Sky Animations. This work is not simply another branch of our company—it’s something we feel deeply connected to.
My journey began in Ontario and has since taken me westward and back again, collaborating with First Nations and Métis communities across the country.
Along the way, I’ve been entrusted with helping tell precious traditional stories: the creation of Turtle Island, the dance of the Northern Lights, and other sacred teachings. Experiencing these narratives and bringing them to life in the night sky has given me a new way of seeing the world. When paired with narration from community elders, these stories become more than entertainment—they transform into a living bridge between generations. They offer our youth a modern way to experience the timeless wisdom of their culture.
We have also been honoured to help tell more difficult stories: the legacy of Residential Schools, the breaking of treaties, and other painful truths. When these stories unfold in the sky, they carry a unique power to support awareness and the multigenerational healing process.
